We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Optometrist Assistant to join our eye care team. The ideal candidate will support our optometrist with patient care, preliminary testing, and administrative tasks. A passion for patient service and a strong interest in eye health are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients, verify insurance information, and update records

Perform pre-testing procedures (e.g., visual acuity, tonometry, auto-refraction)

Assist patients with frame selection and lens options, Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, Educate patients on contact lens care and eyewear usage

Prepare exam rooms and assist the optometrist as needed, Handle phone inquiries and customer service tasks
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in optometry or a medical office preferred, Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable using computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
