Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Optometry Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare management, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and ensuring efficient office procedures. This role requires excellent organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the optometry clinic, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Oversee scheduling of patient appointments and ensure timely follow-ups for referrals.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Develop and manage budgets, monitoring expenses to optimize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient referrals and communication.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve any issues related to billing or service delivery.
- Assist optician with retail sales of eyewear, while providing excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proven experience in a medical/optometry office setting is essential.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with eVision is a plus.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare context.
- Familiarity with acute care procedures and protocols is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
