We are seeking an enthusiastic Optician or Optometric Assistant to join our team. Daily job responsibilities include: 

• Spectacle and contact lens sales: assisting patients in selecting the appropriate eyewear to meet their needs. 
• Booking appointments: Managing the appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Pretesting, visual fields and OCT scans: Conducting preliminary tests to prepare patients for their eye examinations as well as any additional testing required.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player, who has excellent communication skills and customer service experience. While experience in the optometric industry is an asset, we are willing to train an individual with the right personality and eagnerness to learn. 

We are hiring for a full time position with no evening or weekend shifts. Hourly wage is to be determined based on relevant experience. Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our incredible team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting eye examinations, diagnosing and treating visual problems, and managing diseases, injuries, and disorders of the eyes. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision examinations.
• Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and injuries.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
• Educate patients on proper eye care and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.

We are looking for a permanent, compassionate and motivated optometrist to start 2-3 days per week as well as 1 Saturday a month with the ability for future growth to 4 days a week. We will guarantee a minimum pay of 1000$ per day scheduled for the first 6 months

The ideal candidate would be an optometrist that values continual growth. We offer vision therapy and would want our associate to be involved in the program. We can provide training including the Sanet online courses. The OEPF courses would be strongly recommended as well. We also aim to go the annual Dry Eye Summit in Toronto to stay up-to-date with the latest dry eye treatment options for our patients. Our local ophthalmologists are quite booked up, so we end up managing glaucoma patients as well. Both our optometrists love learning and we would like an associate that has this drive as well.
