Why drive up to beautiful Muskoka every weekend when you can live here year round? We are a three doctor practice with two locations, our main office is in Huntsville and our satellite location is in South River. Both towns have grown to the point we can't keep up with the load and are in desperate need of another OD. Huntsville is a beautiful small town surrounded by lakes, population is around 28,000 but expands to 10x that in the summer. South River is a small village of 1000 people but we are the only optometrists within a 75km radius in any direction. Our appointment books are jammed at both locations, we're typically booking 3 months out now.
Both offices were fully renovated 4 years ago - new flooring, lighting, paint, most of the equipment was replaced. Both offices have fully dispensaries, on site OCTs and Optos California's. Huntsville has a full in house edging lab and employs a full time optician. South River has absolutely zero competition with no other optometrists or opticals. Huntsville has 2 small opticals but our dispensing retention rate is very high, patient loyalty is incredible.
We have been working for close to 30 years now and would love to retire/switch to part time but we simply can't until we find someone to join us!
What We Offer
- State-of-the-Art Equipment – Including Optomap (California model), Topcon OCT, Octopus 900 Perimeter, and more.
- Efficient EMR System – We use Optosys for seamless scheduling, billing, and patient management.
- Established Patient Base – Over 20,000 active files and strong referral relationships with local physicians and ophthalmologists in Regina & Saskatoon.
- Fully Equipped Dispensary & Lab – Over 1,500 frames and on-site edging with 1-hour service for single-vision lenses.
- Experienced Support Staff – A team of 6 full-time staff, including an office manager and CCOA-certified pre-testers.
The Opportunity
- Competitive Compensation – 25% of gross billings with a guaranteed minimum of $175,000. Recent associates have earned over $225,000 per year.
- Clear Path to Partnership – Ownership opportunity available after just one year.
- Flexible Work-Life Balance – Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM. No evenings or weekends.
