Downtown Optometry Clinic has been continuously operating in the downtown Fredericton area for over 60 years. The optometry office has its origins when Dr. John Phelan commenced practice in 1947. Dr. Calvin Smith purchased the practice in June of 1980 and Dr. Bronwyn Mulherin joined him in September of 2007.  Dr. Amanda Bartlett joined the practice August 2014 and Dr. Jenna Etsell joined in August 2019. Dr. Emily Cruickshank joined the team in 2021.  Dr. Calvin Smith retired June 2023 and Dr. Bronwyn Mulherin now owns and operates the clinic.
