We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Optical/Administrative Assistant to join our close-knit, family-based optometry clinic. Our patients have trusted us for over a decade, and we pride ourselves on providing personalized, compassionate care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career while playing a key role in managing the front office of our fast-paced clinic and assisting with optical and eye care services in a friendly, professional manner.
Availability to work at least 3 days per week, including evenings and Saturdays, is required. Optical sales experience is a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Perform Pre-testing of patients, assist with frame selection/fitting, educate patients on eyewear/contact lenses and neutralize glasses (minimum 1 year experience)
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information and collecting payments, OHIP billings and validations, sending referrals to specialists and following up
- Respond to patient calls and emails promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and concerns as needed.
- Manage patient flow and ensure a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, optical displays, and front office areas
Skills
- Experience in a healthcare or optical administrative role
- Strong organizational and computer skills, including EMR systems
- Confident, professional communication with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Reliable, team-oriented, and genuinely patient-focused

We are seeking a full-time Associate Optometrist to join our growing multi-location optometry practice serving the communities of Owen Sound and Thornbury.
Our clinics are modern, well-equipped, and supported by experienced staff and a strong patient base. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with an established and continually growing practice.
